Silence
She left quietly, with nothing left between her chest and her back, because she said and demonstrated that if she wanted to stay, she would share all that still had left in her heart.
She left without saying goodbye and with head held high, you, for having the courage to break her heart one more time and she for still able to keep the smile intact.
She walked away, realizing that, in one fell second, those eyes stopped looking for her, so with no complaints, no hard feelings, no memories of what could have been.
She turned around, throwing that little hope in the trash knowing that they were already off, unabashedly & once again, to new game. A game that ever replays.
And she understood, that sometimes the best poetry, is to spare yourself & continue on with your life in silence.
